Mon voyage en France!

Last week I went to France with my boyfriend to visit my Dad who is currently over there doing up some properties. His first project is to convert an old dilapidated farmhouse into a beautiful cottage! At present, it looks like this:

As you can see, the top floor is looking good!! But there is still a lot of work to the house isn't ready to live in yet, everyone who visits has to camp or stay in the caravan whilst my Dad and his girlfriend are staying in a mobile home.

A word of advice - if you're scared of spiders, or bugs in general, do not set up camp in the middle of a field in the French countryside! I have never seen so many spiders in my life, not to mention so many different types...eeeew:(

In the toilet in the mobile home there lived a spider named Herbert - my Dad and his girlfriend refused to move 'him' for me because 'we have no right' - fair enough. I want to say he was the size of my palm, but that would be slightly exaggerated, put it this way he was big, and scary, and I'm actually really proud of myself for getting used to him being there towards the end of my stay!

Here are some photos from my trip:

  1. i love France, especially rural France. those blue shutters looks so nice
